How do I write a scholarship essay?
- Introduction – Start with a hook (story, quote, or strong statement). Introduce yourself briefly.
- Body Paragraphs – Answer the prompt directly. Talk about:
- Challenges you’ve faced and how you overcame them
- Goals (college, career, personal growth)
- Why you deserve it (drive, values, uniqueness)
- Conclusion – Wrap up with how the scholarship will help you achieve your goals.
Tips for Writing
- Answer the prompt exactly — don’t go off topic.
- Show, don’t just tell: Instead of “I’m hardworking,” tell a short story showing how you worked hard.
- Be authentic: They want to know the real you, not a perfect robot answer.
- Edit & proofread: Ask someone to proofread and make sure grammer is good
